The First Deputy Minister received the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to the Republic of Armenia

On September 12, RA First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry Gevorg Mantashyan received Andre Johannes Groenwald, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Africa to the Republic of Armenia.

Gevorg Mantashyan welcomed the Ambassador, presented the main directions of the Ministry’s activities, the programs implemented by the Ministry, in particular, “Engineering City”, state support and educational programs.

The First Deputy Minister also touched upon the already established bilateral relations and expressed confidence that thanks to joint efforts, opportunities for cooperation in the field of high technologies can be outlined in bilateral and multilateral formats and tangible results can be recorded.

Ambassador Andre Johannes Groenwald, for his part, thanked for the reception and expressed his readiness to contribute to the formation and strengthening of industry cooperation.

During the meeting, a number of issues related to high technology were discussed, topics of mutual interest were touched upon, in particular, artificial intelligence, the communications and postal sector, the use of high technology in the mining industry, and new educational programs.
