First Deputy Minister Gevorg Mantashyan took part in the 14th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum
On June 26-29, Gevorg Mantashyan, First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the RA was on a working visit to Tianjin, People’s Republic of China, where he took part in the World Economic Forum’s 14th Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2023.
Within the framework of the forum, economic and industrial developments, ways to face global challenges were discussed, opportunities for economic progress through ongoing initiatives of the World Economic Forum were considered.
The forum consisted of six program areas that covered a range of topics including global inflation, energy transition, IT and advanced technologies. This year the forum was held under the theme “Entrepreneurship: the driving force of the global economy.”
Within the framework of the forum, the First Deputy Minister presented the achievements of the Armenian technology sector, the advantages of the investment environment, the key importance of the development of the technological ecosystem for the Government of the RA and discussed with representatives of the participating countries the possibilities of expanding the agenda of cooperation in the field of high technologies and digitalization.
The meeting brought together more than 1,500 world leaders from business, government, civil society and international organizations at this crucial moment for the recovery of the global economy.
At the heart of the meeting was the need to spur new momentum for innovation and entrepreneurship across geographies not only to revive growth but also to find new industry models and partnerships that can put us on a firm trajectory to a more equitable, sustainable and resilient global economy.
