Minister Robert Khachatryan took part in the international conference “DigiTec Summit 2022”
On March 10, the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex hosted the official opening ceremony of the DigiTec Summit 2022 international conference, which was attended by officials, ambassadors, diplomatic representatives, heads of technology companies and industry representatives.
Minister of High-Tech Industry of the RA Robert Khachatryan made an opening speech at the conference, congratulated the participants, wished them success and fruitful discussion. In his speech, the Minister touched upon the successes recorded in the field, spoke about state support programs aimed at preventing existing difficulties and preparing for future challenges.
“While developing programs, we try to conduct a direct dialogue with industry representatives, listen to existing problems from them in order to provide more targeted and purposeful support,” the minister noted.
Alexander Yesayan, President of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE), greeted the audience and thanked them for participating in the conference, emphasizing that DigiTech this year is the largest in its history.
“These days the techno community is presenting its news, showcasing its capabilities and informing the world of its ambitions within DigiTech. The speakers of the conference, in their turn, make it possible to exchange valuable experience.
At the same time, education is our priority: passing by the stands, you will notice that a special section of the exhibition is dedicated to educational projects, because this is the key to the future of our society and economy,” Yesayan said.
The head of the European Union Delegation, Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Armenia Viktor Richter, and DigiTech summit President Raffi Kassarjian also spoke at the conference.
Further, Minister Robert Khachatryan toured the booths of technology companies presented at the DigiTec 2022 exhibition, which is attended by both start-ups and well-established companies with a clear understanding of their field of activity.
The Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the RA is represented in a separate pavilion within the framework of the exhibition, and with the support of the Ministry, 11 Armenian industry startups present their products, solutions and achievements in the field of robotics, artificial intelligence, finance, agricultural and medical technologies, software and web solutions, mobile applications, design and other areas.
With the support of the Ministry, within the framework of DigiTech 2022, 7 Georgian startups also perform in the joint Georgia pavilion.
For three days, DigiTech 2022 will present the technological potential and capabilities of Armenia, creating a platform for internal and external dialogue and practical discussions, revealing the changes implemented in the field.
Within the framework of DigiTech 2022, on March 11, the event “Investor Day for Tech” will be held, during which the Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia Robert Khachatryan will make a speech.
