Possibilities of expanding cooperation between Armenia and Poland in the sector of technologies were discussed
On September 20, the RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Robert Khachatryan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Armenia Piotr Skwieciński.
During the meeting, the possibilities of expanding cooperation between Armenia and Poland in the sector of high technologies, as well as implementation of joint projects in the field of science and research and development (R&D) were discussed.
The Minister presented to the newly appointed Ambassador of Poland the main directions of the activities of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of RA, the areas coordinated by the Ministry, implemented programs and current works. Robert Khachatryan added that the core of the Ministry’s daily activities is the development of Armenia’s high-tech sector and startup ecosystem.
Ambassador Piotr Skwieciński thanked for the reception, noted that Poland is interested in expanding cooperation with Armenia in the field of high technologies. The Ambassador proposed to form a cooperation between the National Centre for Research and Development of Poland and the scientific research centers of Armenia.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the technological events held in Armenia. Robert Khachatryan presented details of “DigiTec 2023” technology exhibition to be held in October and the “ArmHighTech 2024” International Exhibition of Defense Technologies to be held in March, 2024, in which Polish companies can also participate.
Minister Robert Khachatryan and Ambassador Piotr Skwieciński agreed to take practical steps to study the possibilities of implementing joint projects in the mentioned areas, as well as to ensure the participation of Armenian and Polish companies in technological events held in both countries.
