The meeting-forum of ICT leaders was held

At the initiative of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises, on January 13, a meeting-forum of ICT leaders entitled “Promote Dialogue” was held.

Davit Sahakyan, Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of RA, made an opening speech at the forum. He highlighted the importance of meetings in this format, which are a platform for forming a dialogue with companies in the industry and jointly discussing the problems facing the industry.

Within the framework of the session “Current and planned government programs aimed at improving the business environment”, Davit Sahakyan presented the state support programs implemented by the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the RA in the form of tax incentives, grants, spoke about the National Venture Fund, answered questions of company representatives.

The Deputy Minister also informed the participants that it is planned to reorganize the Public Council under the Minister, as well as to create working groups under the Deputy Ministers in sectoral areas, which will also contribute to the formation of an effective dialogue between representatives of the sector.

Mariam Babayan, Consultant for the Development of Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Technological Enterprise Programs of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), presented the programs implemented by them, which contribute to bringing Armenian products to international markets, as well as filling the lack of international expertise and knowledge.

Within the framework of the session “Presentation and discussion of plans for the digitalization of public services for 2023”, Gevorg Mantashyan, the First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the RA spoke about the digital agenda of Armenia, the importance of digitalization strategy and digital management, and also presented the work carried out in this direction.

A number of issues related to customs procedures and public procurement systems were also discussed during the forum.

The forum was attended by representatives of government departments, the technology sector, research institutes, universities and businesses.
