The “Television and Radio Broadcasting Network of Armenia” Closed Joint-Stock Company (hereinafter referred to as the Company) was established in 1957 as an operating entity of the unified system for television and radio broadcasting in Armenia.
By the Decision No. 362-A of the Government of the Republic of Armenia dated April 7, 2011, the Company was entrusted with the functions of creation, maintenance, and operation of the digital broadcasting network considered to be the property of the Republic of Armenia.
The main areas of the Company’s activities are:
- provision of terrestrial television and radio broadcasting services, as well as telecommunication services,
- provision of satellite communication services,
- construction, operation, and technical maintenance of telecommunication networks,
- construction, maintenance, and operation of the national digital television and radio broadcasting network,
- installation and maintenance of technical equipment of broadcasting companies, communication operators, and other organizations at the Company’s stations,
- development and expert examination of urban planning and technical infrastructure design documentation in the field of communications,
- implementation of construction and installation works in the communications sector,
implementation of development and investment programs in the broadcasting and telecommunications sector, as well as introduction of new technologies.
