Solutions discussed to sectoral issues: Mkhitar Hayrapetyan visited Ucom

The RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan with the Deputy Minister Gevorg Meliksetyan visited Ucom on July 17. Accompanied by Ralph Yirikian, General Director of Ucom, the Minister toured the Company and learned about the recent reforms, network upgrades and modernization.

Ralph Yirikyan together with his colleagues introduced the Company's plans and strategic goals.

During the meeting, problems encountered during the work process were addressed as well. The interlocutors discussed potential solutions to those problems and the possible support the Ministry can offer. Challenges in the field were also presented. Minister Hayrapetyan emphasized that the Ministry of High-Tech Industry closely watches the sectoral problems and works towards their immediate solution.

It was noted, that the Company's mission is to make high speed internet available throughout Armenia. In this context, they carry out comprehensive activities, including introducing 5G-ready technologies. As part of this endeavor, official agreements were signed with Nokia, a global giant, and MediaKind, an internationally acclaimed company. 

Today, the Ucom fixed network successfully operates not only in Yerevan, but also in the regions, including Byureghavan, Ashtarak, Artashat and Nor Hachn.
