The Georgian delegation in Armenia is expanding sectoral cooperation

On July 3, RA Deputy Minister of High Tech Industry Ruben Simonyan received the delegation led by Georgia's Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Irakli Nadareishvili. During the meeting, a number of issues on the sectoral cooperation were discussed, including the prospects of joint regional programs. It was also suggested that sectoral companies engage in bilateral participation in local and international expos.

The delegation consisted of the Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth Affairs of Georgia Aleksandre Tsuladze, Chairman of Georgian Innovations and Technologies Agency (GITA) Avtandil Kasradze, and Deputy Chairman GITA Tornike Jobava. Envoy of the Georgian Embassy in Armenia Irakli Kvanchakhadze also participated in the meeting.

Ruben Simonyan introduced the Ministry's activities, upcoming programs, as well as the efforts directed to the sector development. Emphasis was made to technology-based education, programs of startup ecosystem development, research and development (R&D), digitization, infrastructure, activities directed to technology development in marzes, and a number of other issues.

Irakli Nadareishvili, in response, elaborated on the programs aimed at technological sector development in Georgia, investment opportunities and policies aimed at implementation thereof.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Irakli Nadareishvili invited Ruben Simonyan for a mutual visit to Georgia to learn more about the sectoral ecosystem.

Further, the Georgian delegation visited the Engineering City, National Supercomputer Center established in the City, and met with the high representatives of the Enterprise Incubator Foundation. After that, they visited the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies and toured in the Center to learn more about its activities.
