Collaboration Prospects with Latvia in the Technological Area

On November 20, the First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, Gevorg Mantashyan, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to the Republic of Armenia, Edite Medne (residence in Tbilisi).

During the meeting, Gevorg Mantashyan presented an overview of the Ministry's history, activities, and strategic vision, along with its programs aimed at advancing the high-tech industry. He highlighted various initiatives, including efforts to promote scientific research and experimental development (R&D), advancements in technological education, and potential areas for expanding bilateral cooperation. Particular emphasis was placed on identifying avenues for collaboration in digitalization, telecommunications, and cyber defense.

Ambassador Edite Medne, in turn, shared insights into Latvia's sectoral development programs, emphasizing the country's expertise in technological education, aviation technologies, cybersecurity, and healthcare program management. She underscored these areas as potential platforms for collaboration and the development of joint projects.

Several additional issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
