First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, Gevorg Mantashyan, met with TikTok representatives Sergey Sokolov, Director of Government Relations and Corporate Affairs for Eastern Europe, and Burzhuev Azamat, Head of Government Relations for Central Asia, Romania, and Moldova.

During the meeting, Mantashyan addressed potential areas for cooperation with TikTok, highlighting concerns over the platform's public impact and ways to mitigate associated risks. Key topics included implementing safety standards, promoting digital literacy, and addressing challenges posed by artificial intelligence, such as the creation of AI-generated images and the spread of misinformation. Mantashyan also emphasized the importance of clearly labeling AI-generated content.

Sergey Sokolov outlined TikTok's recent efforts to tackle these issues, including the introduction of new safety features and measures aimed at reducing risks across different sectors, particularly within the Armenian TikTok community.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to hold further discussions on these critical matters.
