Opportunities to deepen bilateral cooperation were discussed with the US Ambassador

Minister of High-Tech Industry of the RA Mkhitar Hayrapetyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the US to Armenia Kristina Kvien.

First of all, the Minister thanked the USA for its efforts towards the peace agenda in the South Caucasus, as well as for the steps aimed at reaching a new level of development in bilateral relations. In his speech, he highly appreciated the cooperation with the US Agency for International Development (USAID), especially in the field of high technologies. Mkhitar Hayrapetyan presented to the Ambassador the main directions of the Мinistry's activities, emphasized that the development of high technologies, robotics and artificial intelligence is a priority for the RA government.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the US to Armenia Kristina Kvien congratulated Mkhitar Hayrapetyan on being appointed to the position of Minister, emphasized that the US Embassy in Armenia already has effective cooperation experience with the Ministry of High-Tech Industry, and expressed hope that the formed cooperation will be continuous.

During the meeting, the development of dialogue between the two countries in the field of cyber security, digitization, and high technologies was discussed.
