AI Conf 2024: Accelerating Public Administration Reforms Through AI

The AI Conf 2024, organized by Krisp, commenced on October 12 at the Gabriel Sundukyan National Academic Theater. This year's event is themed "Building with AI," emphasizing the transformative potential of artificial intelligence.

During the opening ceremony, RA Minister of High-Tech Industry, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, welcomed participants and wished them a productive conference. He highlighted AI as a critical technology for Armenia's future, stressing that the efficient and strategic use of AI can drive rapid economic development.

"To realize this vision, we need substantial investments, the introduction of new academic disciplines, the establishment of infrastructure such as AI supercomputing centers, and the formation of research groups dedicated to developing advanced AI solutions," said Minister Hayrapetyan. He underscored the importance of a collaborative effort between the government and the private sector, maintaining an optimistic outlook on AI’s potential. According to the Minister, integrating AI tools in public administration reforms and digital transformation will enhance the quality of governance, save time, and enable more predictable and effective management.

Davit Baghdasaryan, CEO and Co-Founder of Krisp, also addressed the audience, affirming that AI is the world's most important technology. He noted that individuals, organizations, and governments that harness AI effectively will gain a significant competitive advantage.

Hayk Yesayan, Director General and Co-Founder of Team Telecom Armenia, was also present to welcome attendees.

Following the opening ceremony, Minister Hayrapetyan toured the expo held alongside the conference, engaging with representatives of participating companies and exploring opportunities for collaboration.

Since its inception in 2022, AI Conf Armenia has grown to become the country's largest AI conference, aiming to foster innovation, education, and solidify Armenia's standing as a leader in AI technology. This year’s event features discussions on the latest AI trends and their impact across different sectors, as well as presentations on AI projects and research conducted in Armenia.
