Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia Ruben Simonyan Met with Sector Representatives in the Kingdom of Sweden

Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia Ruben Simonyan paid a working visit to Stockholm, Kingdom of Sweden, from April 22 to 24, to participate in the "Business Seminar on Armenia" organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Sweden and the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event was attended by more than 50 representatives from Sweden’s business and government sectors.
The Deputy Minister presented the prospects and potential of Armenia's high-tech industry and discussed cooperation opportunities between Armenia and Sweden in the fields of high-tech, information technology, and telecommunications. In particular, he outlined the current state of Armenia’s technological and comprehensive investment environment, the growing interest of Swedish technology companies and potential conditions for partnership, and various formats of cooperation in IT and telecommunications. These include the development and implementation of joint programs, the promotion of interaction between scientific research institutes and startup ecosystems, opportunities for experience exchange to enhance professional capabilities, and academic collaboration.
As part of the event, Deputy Minister Ruben Simonyan held a series of meetings with representatives of Swedish government institutions and the private sector aimed at promoting bilateral economic cooperation, particularly in high technology, IT, and telecommunications, attracting investment into Armenia, and implementing programs of mutual benefit. Agreements were reached with partners on expanding innovative, technological, and investment cooperation between the two countries, as well as fostering long-term, mutually beneficial collaboration.
