New Agreements Reached to Expand Cooperation During Deputy Minister Ruben Simonyan’s Visit to the UAE

At the invitation of the Dubai World Trade Center, Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia Ruben Simonyan paid a working visit to the United Arab Emirates from February 3–6 to attend the AI Everything Summit 2025 in Abu Dhabi and the AI Everything Global 2025 Exhibition in Dubai.

As part of the AI Everything Summit, Deputy Minister Simonyan participated in the panel discussion “AI and Energy: Can Tech Keep the Lights on in a Net-Zero World.” He outlined Armenia’s high-tech policy agenda, emphasizing the role of artificial intelligence in advancing and sustaining the energy sector.

He also highlighted Armenia’s efforts in developing a national high-tech strategy, particularly the state’s initiatives in AI. Additionally, he presented the newly adopted Law on State Support for the High-Tech Sector, emphasizing its impact on the country’s technological ecosystem.

During his visit, Deputy Minister Simonyan held meetings with high-ranking officials and private sector representatives to discuss bilateral cooperation. He introduced the Ministry’s key focus areas, Armenia’s high-tech development programs, and the state’s direct involvement in fostering sectoral growth. Discussions also covered AI best practices, technological development processes, and steps toward integrating AI across various sectors of Armenia’s economy.

The parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation and agreed to facilitate experience exchange, conduct joint research, and explore further areas of collaboration.
