Mkhitar Hayrapetyan Visited Armenian Code Academy: A Wide Range of Issues Related to Future Cooperation Were Discussed

On February 6, the Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, visited the Armenian Code Academy (ACA), one of the leading centers in technological education, offering various programs and courses.
Accompanied by the Academy’s Founder, Narek Aslikyan, the Minister toured the classrooms and familiarized himself with the current educational programs and their focus areas. Narek Aslikyan provided insights into the Academy’s operations, from market analysis to the mechanisms for developing educational programs, emphasizing that they are designed based on in-depth research and aligned with labor market demand.
The Minister highlighted the importance of training highly qualified specialists for the technology sector and noted the effective collaboration between the Ministry and ACA under the “Higher Education Institution-Private Sector Partnership for Training Specialists” program.
During the meeting, discussions covered ACA’s vision for sectoral development, state policy priorities, the main directions of the seven-year technology sector development program, and the role of public-private partnerships in driving fundamental progress.
Special attention was given to key provisions of the new law that are significant for ACA’s activities. Narek Aslikyan highly appreciated the new regulations, particularly the provision allowing business entities to receive 60% income tax support for employees newly entering the sector, which he emphasized as a crucial incentive for encouraging technology professionals. Both parties agreed to continue joint efforts for the law’s implementation.
The meeting also addressed the effectiveness of previously implemented joint programs and explored new opportunities for collaboration, including the launch of joint pilot programs in the regions.
Rafael Sahakyan, General Director of Yerevan Plant of Mathematical Machines CJSC, also participated in the meeting.
