Uruguay Seeks Cooperation in Technology Sector, with a Focus on Technological Education
On December 6, Gevorg Mantashyan, First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, received Javier Poladyan, Director of the Nubaryan School of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) of Uruguay, and Aldo Rodriguez, Director of Language Policies at the National Administration of Public Education (ANEP) of Uruguay.
It was noted that successful cooperation already exists between Armenia and Uruguay in several areas. Numerous projects are being implemented with the support of AGBU, and there is a strong interest in establishing a cooperative network in the technology sector, particularly in technological education.
The Ministry’s programs in technology education were presented, with a focus on mass education and capacity development. Discussions included the acceleration program implemented by "Plug and Play" to support startup development in Armenia, as well as the activities of "Armath" laboratories, the Tumo Center for Creative Technologies, and the COAF Smart Center.
A range of opportunities for effective cooperation was explored, including the creation of working platforms between technology companies, exchange of experience in tech education, agrotechnology, innovation, digitalization, artificial intelligence, and other areas, as well as the establishment of ongoing dialogue.
