Minister Mkhitar Hayrapetyan Welcomes Nokia Delegation

On June 11, the Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, welcomed a delegation from Nokia, led by the company’s Senior Vice President, Rolf Werner.
In his welcome remarks, Minister Hayrapetyan presented the strategic priorities of the Armenian Government in the high-tech sector, highlighting state-supported programs and initiatives designed to foster growth and innovation. He underscored the importance of establishing mutually beneficial partnerships with globally recognized multinational companies.
Representatives of Ucom also attended the meeting. Rolf Werner’s visit to Armenia came at the invitation of Ucom, and in this context, the Minister commended the successful collaboration between Nokia and the Armenian telecommunications company. He noted the tangible progress and achievements made possible through their joint efforts to introduce new technologies and digital tools in Armenia.
Rolf Werner, in turn, emphasized the solid and effective partnership Nokia has built with Ucom, characterizing it as reliable and productive.
The meeting also covered a range of topics of mutual interest, including artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and the potential for Armenia to serve as a partner in scientific and research initiatives. Agreements were reached on further cooperation.
