Gevorg Mantashyan delivered a lecture to the students of the Faculty of Law of Humboldt University
The First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, Gevorg Mantashyan visited the Armenian-Russian University on August 7.
During his visit, Gevorg Mantashyan met with students from the Faculty of Law, Humboldt University, Berlin. He delivered a lecture on Artificial Intelligence and Contemporary Human Rights Issues.
As the meeting progressed, the First Deputy Minister underscored the importance of data privacy and policy, the role of AI in operations and its use in public and private sectors from the perspective of the draft laws On Public Information and Cyber Security.
He noted that the Republic of Armenia is a member state of AI Governance Alliance and actively participates in the activities of global procedures of AI usage, while developing solutions for AI use in the government system as a driving force.
Reference was also made to the decision to develop and implement the Cloud First Policy, recently adopted by the RA Government.
Wrapping up the lecture, the First Deputy Minister highlighted the importance of such student programs, as well as the cooperation between the universities of the two countries.
