Joint Programs, Knowledge Exchange: Mkhitar Hayrapetyan Discusses Cooperation Prospects in Educational and Engineering Sectors in Paris
On April 5, within the framework of his working visit to the Republic of France, Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia Mkhitar Hayrapetyan visited École Polytechnique (Paris Polytechnic School) and ENSTA ParisTech, one of the leading engineering institutions in France, to explore opportunities for expanding cooperation between technological, educational, and scientific research institutions in Armenia and France.
During the meetings, both sides discussed the potential and challenges in the field of high-tech education. Particular emphasis was placed on joint educational programs focused on fostering innovative and applied knowledge. A number of topics were covered related to the implementation of joint engineering projects and collaborative scientific research initiatives, particularly in the areas of data science, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and sustainable technologies.
The importance of expanding industry-education ties was also highlighted, especially through the lens of studying best practices from leading French universities and companies. Minister Hayrapetyan presented Armenia’s strategic vision for developing a technological education environment aligned with international standards, where education, science, and industry are deeply interconnected.
As a result of the meetings, several agreements were reached to form joint working groups, introduce knowledge exchange mechanisms, and facilitate the participation of Armenian students and young specialists in international educational initiatives.
The meetings were also attended by First Deputy Minister Gevorg Mantashyan, Chairman of the Military Industry Committee of the RA Ministry of High-Tech Industry Aram Jivanyan, and Ambassador of Armenia to France Arman Khachatryan.
