On August 14, the meeting of the Jubilee Commission for the 100th Anniversary of the Foundation of Armenian Radio was held under the chairmanship of the Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan. The purpose of the meeting was to present and discuss the draft program of jubilee events planned for 2026, including their descriptions, dates, and organizational approaches.

The Commission includes representatives of state structures, Public Broadcasting, and the cultural sector, who will work together to present, at a high level, the hundred-year history and role of radio as an important pillar of national culture and communication.

During the session, a draft program of events was presented, which includes a series of cultural, educational, and public initiatives aimed at appreciating the century-long activities of Armenian Radio. The goal of the program is to emphasize the historical and cultural significance of radio, promote the development of the sector, and ensure broad public involvement, both in Armenia and abroad.

Minister Hayrapetyan listened to the proposals of the committee members, presented his ideas, and emphasized the importance of using innovative formats that will stimulate youth participation and increase interest in the history and current role of radio.
