First Deputy Minister Gevorg Mantashyan Welcomes Participants to the 2nd Airplane Model Festival

On September 22, in celebration of the 33rd anniversary of the Republic of Armenia’s independence, the 2nd Airplane Model Festival took place at the Arzni military airport. Gevorg Mantashyan, the First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, attended the event and welcomed the participants.

In his opening remarks, Deputy Minister Mantashyan expressed his gratitude to the organizers for their dedication to advancing aviation modeling in Armenia. He highlighted the significance of such events, which not only foster innovation and creativity but also provide a valuable platform for the exchange of expertise and skills between professionals and enthusiasts. He also expressed optimism that the festival would contribute to the promotion and popularization of model aircraft within the country.

The festival brought together industry experts for knowledge exchange, demonstration flights, and model showcases.

During the festival, two platforms were presented: the runway strip and the exhibition area. First, professional and amateur aircraft model designers, as well as groups, universities, and laboratories operating in Armenia, made flights with their models on the runway platform.

Individual aircraft model designers then showcased their completed models and achievements on the exhibition platform, with working groups, universities, and laboratories also participating.

For the second consecutive year, the festival was organized by the Arm Project NGO.
