RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan Visits Engineering City with EU Ambassador to Armenia Vassilis Maragos

On May 12, the Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, visited Engineering City together with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the European Union to Armenia, H.E. Vassilis Maragos.
They were accompanied by Aram Salatian, Chairman of the Board of the Engineering Association, and Bagrat Yengibaryan, Director of the Enterprise Incubator Foundation. Ruben Simonyan, Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry, also joined the visit.
During the tour, Ambassador Maragos was introduced to the core concept behind Engineering City, including its programs, ongoing initiatives, and long-term vision. He was also briefed on the existing infrastructure, the planned High-Technology Accelerator, the Armenian National Supercomputing Center, and the activities and products of the resident companies.
The Ambassador shared his impressions and engaged in a discussion with the delegation on potential areas for collaboration. The parties exchanged views on new opportunities and directions for partnership, reaching preliminary agreements on future steps.
Engineering City is a flagship public-private partnership initiative implemented by the Enterprise Incubator Foundation with active and strategic support from the Government of the Republic of Armenia, represented by the Ministry of High-Tech Industry. The project is carried out in cooperation with the Engineering Association and several private sector companies.
Currently, Engineering City is home to 30 engineering and high-tech companies employing around 350 specialists, primarily experienced engineers.
