A Memorandum of Understanding on “Cyber Security Cooperation” was signed in the UAE
The 28th conference of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-28) is being held in the United Arab Emirates from November 30 to December 15, in which the delegation of Armenia, led by the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan, participates.
Gevorg Mantashyan, First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of RA, is also part of the delegation.
Within the framework of the visit, the Armenian delegation took part in the opening ceremony of the conference and had a meeting with representatives of the Armenian community.
According to the agreement reached between the RA Ministry of High-Tech Industry and the UAE Cyber Security Council, as a result of negotiations lasting a year and a half, a Memorandum of Understanding on “Cyber Security Cooperation” was signed between the parties within the framework of COP 28 on December 1.
The Memorandum was ratified by the First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of RA Gevorg Mantashyan on the Armenian side, and by the Head of CyberSecurity Council of the Government of the UAE Mohamed Hamad Al-Kuwaiti, on the UAE side.
The UN Climate Change Conference is held annually and is the world’s only multilateral decision-making forum on climate change. It brings together the representatives of almost all countries to discuss the steps aimed at overcoming the climate crisis.
