The delegation led by the Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, is on a working visit to the French Republic to participate in the international defense and security exhibition "Eurosatory 2026," which commenced in Paris on June 15. The visit takes place at the official invitation of Catherine Vautrin, Minister of the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs of the French Republic.

With the institutional support of the Ministry, 30 organizations representing the Armenian military-industrial sector, comprising 18 as exhibitors and 12 as visitors, are participating in the exhibition under a single unified national pavilion, presenting the manufacturing and scientific-research potential of Armenia to the international community.

The Armenian-French technological partnership gained significant momentum following the official visit of the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, to the Republic of Armenia on May 5 of the current year. The Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of the Armed Forces of the French Republic opened new avenues for bilateral cooperation, and the current visit signifies the practical implementation of the aforementioned agreements.

The prestigious exhibition, held biennially since 1967, has brought together more than 2,300 companies from 66 countries this year, featuring 42 national representation pavilions. The agenda of the event incorporates over 120 panel discussions and live demonstrations, focusing on prospects of cooperation in the fields of the military industry, unmanned systems, intelligence technologies, modern weaponry, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence, as well as addressing sectoral challenges through innovative solutions.

The development of a technologically advanced military-industrial complex is among the core strategic priorities of the Government of the Republic of Armenia. "Eurosatory 2026" provides an exceptional platform for establishing international relations in the defense sector, expanding scientific-production capacities, and exploring foreign markets.

 Within the framework of the visit, which concludes on June 19, Minister Mkhitar Hayrapetyan will hold a series of official meetings with executives of French state agencies and defense industry enterprises.
