Deputy Minister Gevorg Meliksetyan Receives the Regional Director of the International Telecommunication Union

On December 17, Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia Gevorg Meliksetyan received Natalia Mochu, Regional Director of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Regional Office for CIS, and Farid Nakhle, Program Coordinator of the Office.

During the meeting, Natalia Mochu provided an overview of the global and regional programs implemented by the ITU, highlighting the achievements of the past year. She specifically addressed sector-related programs in Armenia aimed at children, parents, youth, and individuals with disabilities. Additionally, she outlined ITU’s strategic directions and upcoming projects planned for 2025.

Deputy Minister Meliksetyan, in turn, presented the Ministry’s programs and initiatives within the sector, emphasizing its strategic priorities.

The discussion also explored various opportunities for Armenia’s involvement in future ITU programs, and plans for upcoming activities in Armenia were outlined. The meeting concluded with agreements to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation.
