RA Minister of High-Tech Industry received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Armenia to Discuss the Access of Dutch Companies to the Armenian Market and Collaboration
RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Armenia, Marieke Monroy-Winter. During the meeting, Minister Hayrapetyan outlined recent legislative changes, programs, achievements in the technology sector, and the Ministry’s ongoing strategic development initiatives. He emphasized that high technologies are a key element of Armenia's economic development strategy, given the sector's potential in the country.
In this context, the Minister highlighted the importance of mutually beneficial cooperation with the Netherlands, particularly in digital transformation, cybersecurity, and attracting large European tech companies to Armenia. He noted the Netherlands' extensive experience and achievements, as well as the existing successful bilateral cooperation and support from the Dutch side in advancing Armenia's tech sector.
Ambassador Monroy-Winter shared her perspective on potential areas of collaboration, specifically focusing on cybersecurity, the protection of critical infrastructure, risk mitigation amidst technological advances, digital transformation, and policies aimed at fostering the startup ecosystem.
Both sides agreed to continue collaboration on the discussed issues.
