Deputy Minister Davit Sahakyan took part in the Armenian-Italian business forum in Naples
Davit Sahakyan, Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the RA took part in the Armenian-Italian business forum in Naples, Italy, during which the ways of increasing the efficiency and development of the Armenian-Italian economic cooperation were discussed.
In his opening speech, the Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the RA presented the main components of the technological ecosystem of Armenia, the development process, achievements and prospects of the field of information and telecommunications technologies in Armenia. Davit Sahakyan also touched upon the possibilities of developing the Armenian-Italian cooperation in the field of technology.
The event was also attended by Deputy Foreign Minister of Italy Giorgio Sili, Deputy Minister of Economy of the RA Rafael Gevorgyan, Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Tigran Avinyan, Director General of the Investment Support Center Foundation Levon Ohanesyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to the Italian Republic Tsovinar Hambardzumyan, Advisor to the Naples Mayor on Foreign Affairs Francesco Senèze, Italian businessmen, representatives of WizzAir.
In their speeches, the forum participants stressed that the Armenian-Italian relations are not limited to economic ties, but are combined with scientific and cultural relations, the exchange of innovations and technologies.
Within the framework of the forum, a meeting was held with the head of the Armenian-Italian parliamentary group, Giulio Centemero, and the possibilities of meeting and further cooperation with representatives of venture funds were discussed.
The Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the RA also visited “Techno” company, where he met with the company’s founder Giovanni Lombardi, got acquainted with the company’s activities and discussed the possibilities of cooperation with Armenia.
In general, during the visit to Italy, an agreement was reached on the development of a roadmap for a sequence of steps to intensify and expand bilateral technological cooperation.
