Minister Robert Khachatryan paid a working visit to the UAE

On November 13-16, the RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Robert Khachatryan paid a working visit to the United Arab Emirates, participated in the 18th “Dubai Airshow 2023” exhibition and held a number of meetings.

Within the framework of the “Dubai Airshow 2023” exhibition, Robert Khachatryan toured the thematic showrooms of the exhibition, got acquainted with the latest technologies and innovations of the aerospace and aviation industry, demonstrations of innovative, modern aircraft by the participating companies, visited national pavilions of a number of countries, including India, France, Spain, the UAE, held meetings and discussions with representatives of international and national organizations.

As part of the visit, on November 14, Minister of High-tech Industry of the RA Robert Khachatryan and Minister of Defense of the RA Suren Papikyan met with the Minister of State for Defense Affairs of the UAE Mohammed Ahmed Al Bowardi. Robert Khachatryan invited Mohammed Ahmed Al Bowardi to participate in the “ArmHighTech 2024” international exhibition of defense technologies to be held next year in Armenia.

On November 15, Robert Khachatryan visited the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE. The Minister toured the territory of the university, familiarized himself with the existing infrastructure and capabilities. During the visit, Robert Khachatryan met Sultan Al Haji, Vice President of Public Affairs and Alumni Relations of MBZUAI, the possibilities of joint educational and training programs were discussed with him.

MBZUAI is a higher research educational institution focused on the development of artificial intelligence and innovation ecosystem. The innovative academic and research initiatives implemented by MBZUAI aim to develop innovative solutions for the future.

A study visit was also organized to “Masdar City” in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which is often called the eco-city of the future. During the visit, the representatives of the center presented the activities of “Masdar City”, the possibilities of bilateral cooperation were discussed.
