Minister Robert Khachatryan took part in the “Silicon Mountains 2023” International Tech Summit
On October 17, the annual “Silicon Mountains 2023” International Tech Summit started in Yerevan. The RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Robert Khachatryan participated in the official opening ceremony of the event.
This year, the International Tech Summit was dedicated to the challenges of “smart country” and the study of smart digital solutions in various sectors of the economy.
Eduard Musayelyan, Executive Director of the Union of Employers of Information and Communication Technologies (UEICT), welcomed the attendees and presented the purpose and significance of the event. He noted that “Silicon Mountains” is a platform to once again emphasize the role of a human and the country in the development of technologies and effective management.
The special guest of the summit was the laureate of the State Award of the Republic of Armenia “For Global Investment in High Technologies” of 2022, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Adobe Shantanu Narayen, who gave a lecture and then answered questions from the participants.
Within the framework of the summit, a special envelope cancelation ceremony was held under the theme “State Award of the Republic of Armenia for Global Investment in High Technologies” theme. The cancelation of the special envelope was carried out by the Chief of Staff of the RA Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan, RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Robert Khachatryan, Chief Executive Director of Adobe Shantanu Narayen, President of the Armenian Association of Philatelists Hovik Musayelyan.
The special envelope depicts Shantanu Narayen, the 13th laureate of the State Award of the Republic of Armenia “For Global Investment in High Technologies”.
After the end of the official part of the summit, panel discussions were held on the topics of “Smart Country”, “Smart Business” and “Smart Citizen”.
The organizer of the “Silicon Mountains” International Tech Summit, which is being held for the fifth time since 2019, is the Union of Employers of Information and Communication Technologies (UEICT). Every year, the summit brings together Armenian and International experts of the technology sector, representatives of the state, public and private sectors to discuss the digital future of Armenia.
