The Minister discussed with the UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the technological field
On August 2, RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Robert Khachatryan received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the Republic of Armenia Nariman Mohammed Sharif Abdulla AlMulla.
The Minister welcomed the Ambassador, introduced the main activities of the Ministry, touched upon the already established cooperation between the two countries and expressed hope that in the near future it will become more effective, including expanding the scope of cooperation.
Ambassador Nariman AlMulla thanked for the reception, noting that the UAE attaches great importance to expanding cooperation with Armenia in the field of high technologies, especially in the areas of digitalization, cybersecurity and space technologies.
The Ambassador also conveyed to the Minister an invitation from the UAE Minister of State for Defense, Muhammad bin Ahmad Al Bawardi, to take part in the Dubai Airshow 2023 exhibition.
During the meeting, the successful experience of both parties in the fields of information technology, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, postal communications was presented, and the possibilities of establishing business relations between venture funds, incubators and accelerators were discussed.
The Engineering City project, the National Venture Fund, the Tumo Center for Creative Technologies, the activities of the Arath Engineering Laboratories, industry exhibitions organized in Armenia were also mentioned.
Minister Robert Khachatryan offered the ambassador study visits to the Engineering City and Tumo Center for Creative Technologies, and also invited industry companies from the UAE to take part in the upcoming DigiTec23 and “ArmHighTech 2024” exhibitions in Yerevan.
