Mkhitar Hayrapetyan visited Krisp: Collaboration prospects were discussed
The RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan with Deputy Minister Ruben Simonyan visited Krisp Technologies Inc., AI-based audio processing software Company, on August 1. Founded in 2017 by Davit Baghdasaryan and Artavazd Minasyan, Krisp offers algorithms that can filter background noise, echoes, and other distracting sounds in real time.
Accompanied by Artavazd Minasyan, the Minister toured the Office, gained insight into the Company's activities, current and upcoming projects. Achievements, growth opportunities and challenges were discussed as well. Minasyan introduced Krisp- initiated new tools and spoke about their capacity.
Mkhitar Hayrapetyan introduced the new programs that the Ministry is planning for sector companies and underscored the active engagement by the Armenian tech companies. International acceleration program was also discussed to be launched on the Ministry's initiative.
As the meeting progressed, the interlocutors talked about the BigStory VC venture fund started by Krisp Co-founders Davit Baghdasaryan, Artavazd Minasyan with Podcastle AI founder Arto Yeritsyan. It was noted, that the VC has already invested around 6 million USD in 23 Armenian startups, fostering their accelerated growth and progress. In this context, a reference was made on the issue of starting a venture fund by the Armenian Government.
It is noteworthy, that the American popular business magazine Forbes included Armenian Krisp in the list while referring to the emergence of 14 new breeds of generative AI tools.
