Minister Robert Khachatryan visited the Armenian office of "Siemens Industry Software" company
The Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia Robert Khachatryan visited the Armenian office of "Siemens Industry Software" company.
Accompanied by the Chief Executive Officer of the Armenian branch of the company Irina Dumanyan, Minister Robert Khachatryan toured the office and got acquainted with the working conditions.
After the tour, a working discussion was held, during which Irina Dumanyan presented to the Minister the history of the establishment of the company, the implemented programs, the main directions of company’s activity. She added that the company closely cooperates with Armenian universities and contributes to joint research activities.
Reference was also made to the problem of attracting qualified specialists, which they are trying to solve through the educational programs implemented by the company.
Minister Robert Khachatryan highly appreciated the activity of "Siemens Industry Software" and other similar large companies in Armenia. In the context of the lack of human potential and personnel in the field of IT, Robert Khachatryan presented the educational programs implemented by the Ministry, in particular, he referred to the "University-Private Sector Cooperation for Training Specialists" program, noting that it is aimed at transferring those looking for a new profession to the technological sector, and developing the professional skills of those who already have some experience, ensuring promotion in their workplace.
The necessity of organizing and conducting narrow professional training courses was also discussed.
At the meeting, reference was made to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's visit to the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the RA, during which the development and implementation of state support programs for the activities of sectoral companies was highlighted. In this context, the possibility of extending the state support programs for the IT sector for another year was emphasized.
