RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan Receives Representatives of the World Bank to Discuss Opportunities for Expanding Bilateral Cooperation

On February 14, RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan welcomed representatives of the World Bank, led by Rolande Pryce, Regional Director for the South Caucasus.
The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister Gevorg Mantashyan, Deputy Minister Gevorg Meliksetyan, Carolin Geginat, Country Manager of the World Bank for Armenia, and other representatives.
Minister Hayrapetyan presented the legislative reforms and programs implemented and planned by the Ministry, and discussed various programs carried out in collaboration with the World Bank, particularly the Engineering City initiative. According to the Minister, the initiative is one of the best examples of bilateral cooperation. He expressed hope that the scope of cooperation would expand further in the near future.
Rolande Pryce expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and presented key World Bank programs, highlighting the projects implemented in the region and the planned efforts. She also touched upon Armenia's opportunities for involvement in these programs.
The discussion also focused on several agenda items, including cybersecurity, digital identification, cloud policy, and broadband internet development.
As a result of the meeting, agreements were reached on further steps and joint programs, aiming to deepen cooperation between Armenia's high-tech sector and the World Bank.
