Minister Mkhitar Hayrapetyan received USAID/ Armenia Mission Director John Allelo

Minister of High-Tech Industry of the RA Mkhitar Hayrapetyan received representatives of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Armenia under the leadership of USAID/ Armenia Mission Director John Allelo.

Mkhitar Hayrapetyan welcomed the guests and thanked the USAID for its continuous efforts aimed at the development of the high-tech and IT sectors in Armenia.

USAID Armenia Mission Director John Allelo congratulated Mkhitar Hayrapetyan on his appointment to the position of Minister, noted that the Ministry of High-Tech Industry has a successful experience of effective cooperation with USAID and there are all the prerequisites to deepen it.

During the meeting, issues related to the development of national strategy of high-tech sector in Armenia, the new legislative package regulating the sector, digitization, and cyber security were discussed.

Highlighting of existing problems and challenges in the field, readiness of both sides to solve them and combining efforts was also emphasized.

The parties highly valued the already established partnership and expressed readiness to develop cooperation in all directions.
