Armenia’s Technological Potential and Cooperation Prospects Highlighted at ˝Japan IT Week 2026\" exhibition

Within the framework of the "Japan IT Week 2026" international technology exhibition taking place in the capital of Japan, Tokyo, H.E. Ms. Monika Simonyan, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Japan and Mr. Masao Shino, Director of the Governance and Peacebuilding Department, Office for Science, Technology and Innovation and Digital Transformation, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) visited the joint "ARMENIA" pavilion and delivered welcoming remarks.

The guests highly appreciated the current level of Armenian-Japanese technological cooperation and emphasized the importance of such platforms in expanding bilateral relations.
During the exhibition, Japanese partners presented pitches on Armenia's ecosystem, investment attractiveness, and IT sector, which aroused great interest among the exhibition visitors. The Armenian pavilion was visited by industry representatives from Japan as well as other countries, who got acquainted with public and private initiatives and projects, as well as the activities and innovative solutions of organizations.
Within the framework of the exhibition were organized side events, B2B meetings and discussions, as well as introductory visits to several industry centers for the Armenian delegation.
Separate meetings were also held with representatives of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), ˝Sony Network Communications", ˝Sumitomo Corporation", and ˝YSK e-com". During these meetings the potential areas of cooperation, Armenia’s technological capabilities as well as prospects for expanding bilateral business ties were discussed.
