Brazil Interested in Cooperation with Armenia in the Tech Sector: MHTI First Deputy Minister Receives the Ambassador
On November 22, Gevorg Mantashyan, First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Republic of Armenia, Fabio Vaz Pitaluga.
Gevorg Mantashyan presented the scope of the Ministry’s activities and implemented programs, including legislative initiatives aimed at developing and fostering the sector.
The discussion referenced the agreements already reached between the two countries on cooperation in the technology sector and the proposals presented during previous meetings.
Ambassador Fabio Vaz Pitaluga emphasized that the relevant Ministry in Brazil is eager to develop multifaceted cooperation with Armenia in all possible areas of the technology sector. The Ambassador also noted that several Brazilian companies are interested in exploring cooperation opportunities with Armenian companies.
The parties discussed the prospects and opportunities for expanding cooperation in engineering, digitalization, AI, cybersecurity, space technologies, research and development (R&D), science, innovation, and other areas, as well as the implementation of mutually beneficial programs.
An agreement was reached to take effective steps soon to move the cooperation agreements to a more substantive stage.
