Gevorg Mantashyan Attends the Opening Ceremony of Armenia-Engineering Week 2024
Gevorg Mantashyan, First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, participated in the opening ceremony of Armenia-Engineering Week 2024, held at the National Gallery of Armenia. In his remarks, the First Deputy Minister congratulated the attendees and emphasized the Ministry's commitment to continuously supporting such initiatives, relying on the ideas and innovation of young Armenian talents.
Welcoming both Armenian and international participants, Mantashyan praised their role in fostering collaboration and advancing initiatives that contribute to the growth of Armenia’s high-tech industry.
Bagrat Yengibaryan, Director of the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF), highlighted the importance of engineering and high technologies in Armenia’s economic and industrial development, as well as the country's positioning on the global stage.
"It is crucial to recognize the immense potential that engineering and high technologies hold for Armenia’s development. This event brings together key stakeholders to drive innovation and cooperation. Armenia-Engineering Week 2024 not only showcases our progress but also serves as a platform for addressing important issues, sharing knowledge, and promoting sustainable development. The engineers here today are shaping tomorrow's world, where innovation knows no bounds," Yengibaryan stated.
Distinguished guests also gave welcome speeches, including Indian Ambassador to Armenia Ms. Nilakshi Saha Sinha, Swedish Ambassador Mr. Patrick Swenson, Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy Mr. David Allen, World Bank Country Manager Ms. Carolin Geginat, PMI Science Armenia Head of R&D Mr. Gurgen Mardoyan, and Aram Salatyan, President of the Engineering Association of Armenia.
Armenia-Engineering Week 2024 is organized by the Enterprise Incubator Foundation and the Engineering Association, in cooperation with the Ministry of High-Tech Industry. Key partners include National Instruments, Synopsis Armenia, PMI Science Research Center, Engineering City, Vanadzor and Gyumri Technology Centers, AID WAVE Youth Initiative, AID Science Incubator, Microsoft Innovation Center Armenia, SyHab Armenia, the National Supercomputing Center of Armenia, the Armenian-Indian IT Center of Excellence, USAID’s Advanced Research Center, Workforce Development programs, and the Gituzh initiative.
The forum aims to present the latest developments in engineering to a broad audience, promoting high-tech engineering and production in Armenia. Industry leaders, students, researchers, and technology enthusiasts will showcase cutting-edge projects in automotive technology, semiconductor testing, wireless communications, biomedical engineering, education technology, and manufacturing.
This annual event will take place from October 1-3, 2024, in Yerevan and Vanadzor.
The goal of the forum is to present the latest developments and achievements in engineering to a wide audience, to promote high-tech engineering and production in Armenia.
During the forum, industry leaders, students, researchers and those interested in advanced technology and engineering are to present their latest projects in automotive, semiconductor testing, wireless communications, biomedical engineering, education technology and manufacturing.
This annual series of events will take place this year on October 1-3 in Yerevan and Vanadzor.
