RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan Meets with German Ambassador to Armenia Claudia Busch

On January 29, RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan welcomed Claudia Busch, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Armenia, to discuss and explore opportunities for collaboration in the technological sector.
Minister Hayrapetyan provided a detailed overview of the Ministry’s strategic priorities, covering high technologies, digitalization, space technologies, and cybersecurity. He also highlighted the new seven-year program aimed at developing the technological sector, along with other key initiatives.
Discussing the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation with Germany in the technological field, the parties identified several potential directions. In particular, they emphasized opportunities for attracting major German and EU transnational IT companies to Armenia, as well as collaboration in biotechnology, semiconductor component design and production, and microelectronics.
Expressing her gratitude for the warm welcome, Ambassador Claudia Busch outlined the ongoing joint efforts with Armenia in the field of digitalization and addressed the cooperation prospects presented by the Minister. Additionally, she expressed readiness to enhance collaboration in capacity development, startups, the techno-industry, and other areas contributing to sectoral growth.
Agreements were reached on expanding cooperation and defining further steps and tasks.
