The World Congress on Innovation and Technology (WCIT 2024) will take place on October 4–7 at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex in Yerevan, under the direct coordination of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia. During the conference, Armenia will transform into a hub of technological innovation, serving as a platform for hundreds of international participants, featuring speeches, panel discussions, and other exciting events led by global industry experts. This year, alongside WCIT, the DigiTec 2024 International Technology Exhibition will be held at the Meridian Expo Center from October 4–6, with free entry for all attendees.

The press conference for the launch of WCIT2024/DigiTec was attended by key industry figures, including Ms. Nazeli Hayrapetyan, Advisor to the RA Minister of High-Tech Industry and WCIT2024 Coordinator; Mr. Alexander Yesayan, President of the Union of Advanced Technologies Enterprises (UATE); Mr. Hayk Karapetyan, Executive Director of WCIT2024; Mr. Sargis Karapetyan, Executive Director of UATE; and Mr. Vahagn Badalyan, Member of the Board of Directors of Fastex, a partner organization of the event.

Ms. Nazeli Hayrapetyan, Advisor to the Minister of High-Tech Industry and WCIT2024 Coordinator, highlighted that in recent years, the Armenian Government has adopted a policy of bringing large-scale events to the country. "It is extremely important for us to host such significant events in Armenia, as it allows our country to be presented on international platforms. It also offers sector investors a unique opportunity to discover the Armenian IT industry and create investment and cooperation networks. This event is a successful example of public-private partnership, once again placing Armenia on the technological map," she noted.

Alexander Yesayan emphasized the importance of WCIT2024, stating that this year's event will be the largest in the history of Armenia's IT industry. "Hundreds of guests will participate in discussions on artificial intelligence and innovative solutions, exploring how AI shapes the future of the global business environment. We are proud to host this event, which has already made a significant contribution to the development of international relations and business opportunities for Armenian companies," he said.

The event will kick off with an exciting concert on October 4 in Yerevan's Republic Square, followed by a series of discussions and presentations with world-leading experts. The main topics will focus on the impact of artificial intelligence on industry and how Armenia can leverage this technology for its economic and technological development.

Around 100 startups will participate, making DigiTec 2024 the largest in its history in terms of scale, number of participating companies, and sponsors. International media will provide extensive coverage of the event. Mr. Sargis Karapetyan, Executive Director of UATE, emphasized that the primary goal of the event is to introduce the Armenian ecosystem to international guests.

WCIT2024/DigiTec 2024 promises to be an unprecedented opportunity for Armenian companies to network, collaborate, and showcase their innovations to a global audience, further strengthening Armenia's position as a key player in the international technology ecosystem.
