Mkhitar Hayrapetyan visited Armenian-founded ServiceTitan Tech Unicorn startup company

The Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia Mkhitar Hayrapetyan and Deputy Minister Ruben Simonyan visited ServiceTitan Armenia on August 7.

ServiceTitan is the first Unicorn startup company founded by Armenians, offering cloud and mobile software solutions to companies in the home service industry in the US and Canada.

Along with Managing Director Ashot Tonoyan, the Minister toured the Company and observed the recent years' accomplishments, upcoming goals, and development programs.

In addition to improving the existing software products, the Armenian team of over 400 members also creates new products. They work on using artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies and thereupon creating a higher quality.

It was also noted that short-term and long-term training programs were implemented in order to develop the Armenian startup ecosystem, train qualified personnel, and foster replenishment.

Mkhitar Hayrapetyan emphasized that the technological sector is one of the leading sectors for the Armenian Government, the development of which largely depends on how the state cooperates with private companies. The use of the latest technological solutions was emphasized in all sectors of economy, which will stimulate the development process.

As stated by the Company representatives, Armenian tech sector drifts on the level of many developed countries, however, it is very important that the product generated by our specialists and its outcome is presented to the world correctly and with full intent.

As the meeting progressed, the interlocutors touched upon various subjects within the cooperation prospects, including sector-upholding legislative reforms.

It is noteworthy, that ServiceTitan founded by Ara Mahdessian and Vahe Kuzoyan back in 2012, has been named to the Forbes 2024 Cloud 100, the definitive ranking of the top 100 private cloud companies in the world and ranked it at #6.

The Armenian office was opened in December 2018, initially having only five employees. Today, more than 400 people work in the Armenian office, and the number of employees worldwide exceeds 2800. The software offered by the Company is used by more than 100,000 contractors in the US and Canada. The abovementioned figures gradually increase.
