Student Hackathon Summarizes the Results of the Competition: 3 Winning Teams are Declared

On August 28, the closing ceremony of the Student Hackathon took place in Tsaghkadzor, during which the results of the competition were announced and three teams with the best solutions were awarded.

The first prize was awarded to the GDS team from the Armenian-Russian University, who received 2.5 million AMD. The second prize went to the Mayk Talk team, also from the Armenian-Russian University, and the third prize was awarded to the VanLogic team from Vanadzor State University. They received 1.5 million AMD and 1 million AMD, respectively.

The winning teams presented the top solutions across three focus areas in a competition that featured 24 teams: natural disaster forecasting and management technologies, digital image processing, and smart technological solutions in urban development.
Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, Ruben Simonyan, congratulated the participants and emphasized that the Ministry places great importance on organizing the Hackathon, as it offers an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge gained at university through practical work.

“During these three days, you turned your ideas into real projects. I am confident that this is the beginning of your professional journey. The competition will grow even stronger in the future, and the Ministry will continue to create platforms where you can apply your knowledge and skills,” he noted.

The goal of the program is to strengthen ties with universities and students, guide them toward the technological sector, enhance practical skills, foster a competitive environment, and encourage innovative ideas and solutions.
It is worth noting that around 100 students from various academic institutions across Armenia participated in the three-day event.
