The Minister discussed the implementation of the TPQI project with representatives of the World Bank
On February 15, RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Robert Khachatryan received representatives of the World Bank (WB), headed by the Country Manager of the World Bank for Armenia Carolyn Geginat.
The Minister, welcoming the WB representatives, highly appreciated the bilateral cooperation, noted that the Ministry is taking appropriate steps to promote the Trade Promotion and Quality Infrastructure Project (TPQI) .
During the meeting, a discussion was held on the work implemented in the projects of the technology sector within the framework of TPQI, in particular, the construction of the Engineering City, the Cybersecurity Center, the reconstruction of the new building of the Gyumri branch of the National Polytechnic University.
Minister Robert Khachatryan underlined that all programs being implemented are in the spotlight, he noted that information about them is provided to him regularly.
The WB representatives presented their point of view on the progress of the projects, stressed the observance of the established deadlines and the quality of work.
During the meeting, the Trade Promotion and Quality Infrastructure Project was once again discussed, as well as the possibilities of the Ministry’s participation in other programs of the WB Bank.
It is noteworthy that five technological projects are being implemented within the framework of TPQI: the construction of the “Engineering City”, the creation of the Supercomputer Center, the reconstruction of the new building of the Gyumri branch of the National Polytechnic University, the creation of the National Venture Fund and the Cybersecurity Center.
