Gevorg Mantashyan participated in the EaP Digital Conference and the EU4Digital Steering Committee Meeting

First Deputy Minister of High-Тech Industry of RA Gevorg Mantashyan participated in the “AI Governance Summit” of the World Economic Forum in San Francisco, United States of America.
This was the first meeting on this topic, where one of the main goals is to work together with leading large technology organizations, public, academic leaders, research centers, think tanks and NGOs to shape an order for the use and governance of AI.

Within the framework of the conference, open and closed format discussions, interactive dialogues and discussions, and plenary sessions related to key topics in the field of artificial intelligence were organized.

First Deputy Minister Gevorg Mantashyan also participated in the closed working session of the “AI Governance Alliance” held within the framework of the conference.
During the meeting, Gevorg Mantashyan presented the position of Armenia regarding the regulation, development and access to the AI, as well as the initiatives and the policies of the HTI Ministry aimed at the development of the sector.

The main directions for the formation of international cooperation of different countries in the field of AI, maintenance of control and promotion of innovations were discussed, which can serve as a guide for international cooperation in the field of AI governance.

The final report will be published during the World Economic Forum in Davos in January 2024.
