$25 million investment to boost AI innovations in Armenia

The Armenian government will purchase AI high-performance computing resources for a period of 5 years worth $25 million from Firebird AI, currently being built in Hrazdan, Armenia. This program aims to support startups, research groups, academic institutions, and individual specialists operating in the field of artificial intelligence by providing high-performance computing resources for the design, training, and deployment of AI systems.

The computing resources will be provided through the “Artificial Intelligence Virtual Institute” (https://ai.gov.am/), which was launched by the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia and it is an open platform for innovation and collaboration. Under this strategic program, AIVI will serve as an operational platform for receiving applications, identifying applicants, and distributing computing resources. It will also serve as a virtual platform for communication and collaboration among AI innovators.
