Great Potential for Expanding Cooperation with Spain: Gevorg Mantashyan Hosts the Ambassador

On November 21, First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, Gevorg Mantashyan, hosted the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to Armenia, Ricardo Martínez Vázquez.

During the meeting, Gevorg Mantashyan outlined the Ministry's activities, programs, and objectives, emphasizing the state policies designed to foster sectoral development. He particularly highlighted efforts to formulate the industry's strategy and legislative regulations aimed at advancing Armenia's economy.

The discussion also touched on digitalization, telecommunications, space technologies, engineering education, the development of the startup ecosystem, and the achievements of Armenian companies in research and development (R&D), semiconductor design, and microelectronics, among other topics.

Ricardo Martínez Vázquez underscored the critical role of the technological sector across all areas of the economy, drawing attention to Spain's accomplishments, especially in space technology and artificial intelligence.

The meeting concluded with discussions on various opportunities to strengthen bilateral relations, particularly in engineering, space technology, and artificial intelligence.
