Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Mkhitar Hayrapetyan received the delegation led by the Ambassador of China

On August 22, Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia Mkhitar Hayrapetyan met with a delegation led by Li Xinwei, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Armenia.

Minister Hayrapetyan welcomed the Ambassador and expressed confidence that his diplomatic mission will give new momentum to the development of Armenian-Chinese relations, particularly fostering the expansion of cooperation in the field of high technologies. He highlighted that high technologies remain one of the key directions of bilateral collaboration.

Ambassador Li Xinwei thanked the Minister for the warm reception and emphasized that China attaches great importance to strengthening friendly ties with Armenia. He noted that throughout his mission, he will work to further deepen bilateral cooperation, especially in joint projects, technological and academic exchanges, as well as investment initiatives.

The sides discussed opportunities for expanding cooperation in high-tech fields, with a focus on science, innovation, and technology, including space technologies, cybersecurity, digitalization, and the technological industry.

They also underlined the importance of organizing high-level reciprocal visits, encouraging the participation of Chinese companies, and broadening cooperation within international organizations.
