Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence of the Republic of Armenia Tatev Aslanyan  participated in the The Global Conference on Medical Tourism held in Yerevan from September 21 to 23.

During the panel discussion titled " The Borderless Patient: AI, Telemedicine, and Trust in Cross-Border Care" held within the framework of the conference, Tatev Aslanyan emphasized  the key importance of combining rapidly developing technologies with state regulations. She noted in particular that technological progress often outpaces changes in the legal framework, therefore, the state's priority task is to form a flexible, innovation-friendly, and at the same time reliable digital environment.

The Deputy Minister also addressed the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital tools in the professional sector, stressing that they should serve as a powerful auxiliary tool to make service delivery more personalized, accessible, and predictable. These solutions should not create barriers, but rather strengthen the most important value underlying the sector—trust.

During the panel discussion, speakers addressed how digital technologies and artificial intelligence can make patient care simpler, more accessible, and personalized, while ensuring data protection and doctor-patient trust.

The discussion was attended by leading international and local experts in the field, representatives of the Ministry of Health, and heads of technology companies.
