Starlink Donates 56 More Terminals to Armenia to Strengthen Internet Connectivity Resilience in Emergencies

July 11, 2026

As a result of negotiations between the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia and the American company Starlink, the Government of the Republic of Armenia has received a donation of 56 Starlink terminals to prepare for future potential emergencies. This equipment will ensure reliable, high-speed internet connectivity, enabling an effective response during disasters and other emergencies.

The initiative was carried out through close cooperation between the RA Ministry of High-Tech Industry and the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The equipment has already arrived in Armenia and is slated to be allocated to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the needs of the Rescue Service. These terminals will help strengthen Armenia’s communication redundancy in emergencies, particularly during rescue operations, natural disasters, and crisis situations, as well as in cases where traditional communication infrastructures are limited, overloaded, or disrupted.

Starlink is the world's most advanced satellite constellation operating in low Earth orbit,  providing reliable, high-speed broadband internet to millions of users worldwide. It plays a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted connectivity for emergency first responders, especially in remote areas and under crisis conditions.

This donation is a continuation of the effective partnership established between Starlink and the RA Ministry of High-Tech Industry. Within the framework of this cooperation, 110 Starlink terminals are already providing internet access to thousands of students in schools located across Armenia's remote communities.

The Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia highly appreciates the cooperation with Starlink and this vital contribution to strengthening Armenia's emergency preparedness and response capabilities.
