Minister of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence of the Republic of Armenia  Davit Tadevosyan, visited the imID headquarters to learn more about the company’s activities, the development of Armenia’s digital identity and trust infrastructure, its existing solutions, and the sector’s future development.

During the visit, the Minister activated his digital identity through the new-generation imID App, which was officially launched just days earlier at TrustConf 2026 by imID. The Minister also had a firsthand look at the process of creating and using a digital identity.

The meeting focused on the role of digital identity and trust services in Armenia’s digital transformation, opportunities for their broader adoption, and the importance of public-private cooperation in building a secure and interoperable digital environment.

The imID team, led by CEO Karen Mkoyan, presented the company’s history and mission, the infrastructure developed for digital identity and trust services, its existing products and services, key market indicators, and partner ecosystem. The discussion also covered alignment with international standards, particularly compliance with the EU’s eIDAS requirements, as well as the future development of the sector in Armenia.

The parties highlighted the importance of public-private cooperation in the effective development of the digital trust ecosystem, emphasizing the need to align technologies and services developed by the private sector with public digital systems and the regulatory environment. In this context, particular importance was placed on building a unified and trusted digital environment that ensures secure and interoperable digital services and enables their broader adoption by citizens and businesses.

The discussion also addressed next steps toward expanding interoperability between public and private digital systems, promoting the adoption of trust services, and further developing solutions created in Armenia in line with international standards.
