Minister of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence of the Republic of Armenia, Davit Tadevosyan, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia, Khalil Shirgholami.

During the meeting, reference was made to the long-standing friendly relations established between the two countries and the prospects for developing cooperation in the high-tech sector.

Davit Tadevosyan emphasized the significant potential for expanding bilateral cooperation in the field, expressing hope that it will become more comprehensive and effective in the near future.

Ambassador Khalil Shirgholami presented Iran's technological potential, highlighting in particular the country's achievements in the field of nanotechnology and underscoring Iran's leading positions in this direction on a global scale.

The Ambassador expressed readiness to support, within the framework of his powers, the further development and deepening of Armenian-Iranian cooperation in high technologies, contributing to maintaining its positive dynamics and continuity.

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation in the fields of high technologies, artificial intelligence, digital solutions, communications and telecommunications, and nanotechnology, as well as prospects for implementing joint projects and initiatives in these areas.

Emphasis was placed on strengthening ties, exchanging experience, and developing joint initiatives between Armenian and Iranian technology companies, startups, and innovation hubs.

The sides also touched upon the importance of ratifying the Memorandum of Understanding on technological cooperation between the relevant institutions of both countries, highlighting that it will contribute to strengthening the foundations for future collaboration and expanding opportunities for joint project implementation.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Khalil Shirgholami invited Minister Davit Tadevosyan to visit Iran to learn about the country's tech sector achievements firsthand and discuss practical steps toward expanding bilateral cooperation.
